Allen Robbins, Superintendent, Sevier County Electric System
Allen E Robbins is a life-long resident of Sevier County, Tennessee. A graduate of Sevier County High School in 1985, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Cumberland College in 1990.
Allen serves as Superintendent for the Sevier County Electric System and is the current Vice-Chair of the United Way Board of Directors. He served two terms as Chairman of the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a past President of the Sevier County High School Quarterback Club. He was a volunteer football coach for Sevier County Middle School football team for 19 years.
He is married to the former Jachar Lyons and they have three children, Jacob (26) a graduate from Carson-Newman University, Dexter (24) a graduate from Liberty University, and Sierra (18) a freshman at East Tennessee State University. He is also a proud Grandpa to a new granddaughter, Mia Kate. His recreational hobbies are hunting, fishing and lounging on Douglas Lake.
Emily Whaley – Assistant Dir. Sevier County Economic Development Council
Emily Whaley has lived and worked in Sevier County for 30+ years. She is married to Phil Whaley who is a life-long resident of Sevier County. They have been married since 1985. They have 2 boys, Jordan and Jacob.
Emily has worked in the Hospitality field since 1992 with Oaktenn Management Company as their General Manager of the Fairfield Inn & Suites at Five Oaks. In 2014, she began working at the Sevier County Economic Development Council where she is currently employed as the Assistant Director.
During her tenure in the Hospitality industry and current employment, Emily has served on many boards and civic organizations. She has served 2 terms as a Board member on the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce, served as President of The Sevierville Hospitality Association and is a current member and Treasurer of the Sevierville Rotary Club. She is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Sevier and a 2017 graduate of East Tennessee Regional Leadership Association. She currently serves on the United Way Board of Directors.
