CHARLES OTTOLINI, Artist
Born in Toledo, Ohio and raised in Newark, Delaware, Charles has called Sevierville home for 40+ years. He has raised two grown children, Erin (3 grandkiddos), Alex (1 grandkiddo), and is raising two more, Levi, and Aiden, age 12. The current juggling act includes soccer, boxing, schoolwork and finding time to make a living.
Coming from a family of creative people he attended the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia in the hope of pursuing a life in the arts. Ottolini Studios was established in 1977, designing and crafting radiant stained-glass windows and award-winning architectural signage from a small studio tucked in the Smoky Mountains of east Tennessee.
Additionally, a new infatuation with lighting, reclaimed wood, and furniture has taken up space in the studio and in his overactive brain. Interests include a variety of music: reggae, blues, new music, old music, and especially, live music (just say NO to Top 40 music!), my boat, snow skiing, working out and yoga, cooking, and reading when time allows. Coaching, mentoring, and parenting two preteen boys is a most satisfying labor of love, taken seriously with a sense of humor and a grain of salt.
My goal in life is to squeeze every bit of joy, fulfillment and love out of the brief time I am granted in this world.
