TURNER WHALEY, Territory Sales Manager, Katom Restaurant Supply
Turner currently serves as the Territory Account Manager for the Sevier County area for Katom Restaurant Supply. He is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee where he earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing. He has worked in Sevier County for 5 years, serving as an Area Marketing Representative for Dolly Parton’s Stampede.
Born and raised in Sevier County, Turner Whaley knows what it means to serve his community. He served as an assistant coach in the Pigeon Forge Little League football program in 2018-2019 as well as collaborated with his team in the Bulletproof Bark project that raised money for bulletproof vests for k-9 units in Sevier County this past year.
Turner spends his free time with his family and tries to use his love of music, sports, and relationships to better his community every day.
DANIELLE SPEELMAN, Project Manager, The Old Mill
Born in Baltimore Maryland, Danielle was raised in a rural community outside of Pittsburgh, PA nestled alongside the Appalachian Mountains. After many yearly vacations to Pigeon Forge, Danielle and her family have called Sevier County home since 2010.
Finding joy in cooking and entertaining for family and friends, she pursued a degree in culinary arts at Walters State Community College, studying Hot Foods and Baking and Pastry. She can whip you up anything you ask, just don’t ask her to decorate a wedding cake!
Beginning her career at the Pottery House Cafe, Danielle has been with The Old Mill since 2014. Spending several years as a baker, she advanced to Research and Development chef, helping to develop recipes for The Old Mill and also do live cooking segments on Live at 5 at 4 on WBIR. She began to develop an interest in more aspects of The Old Mill Company and made the change to Project Manager several years ago. She enjoys always learning something new and seeing projects through to the finish line.
Her favorite hobby is sharing her love of fitness with others. A certified group fitness instructor, she teaches cycling, barre, and total body classes. Kindness, dedication, and inclusivity are what motivates her to be the best coach she can be. Her favorite way to stay active is distance running and she ran in the Boston Marathon in 2019, also running Knoxville and Huntsville, AL marathons.
She is a graduate of the Leadership Tomorrow class of 2018 and has continued to serve as an advisor for the Leadership Tomorrow program.
In her spare time, you will find her on long walks with her Golden Retriever puppy, hiking with friends, or enjoying the occasional Netflix binge. Always up for a challenge and finding ways to get out of her comfort zone, Danielle is excited to be a participant in United Way’s 2022 Dancing with the Stars.
